Lisandro Garcia Rebelo’s journey began at just 8 years old, training alongside his father—his hero and first coach. From backyard workouts to early morning runs, Lisandro's discipline and resilience were clear even then. He never liked losing. Whether it was in sports or games, every loss made him push harder to come back stronger.
At 11, after noticing his natural strength and relentless energy, Lisandro's parents introduced him to boxing to build not just physical toughness, but also discipline, confidence, and focus. He joined Sully’s Boxing Gym in Toronto, where fate introduced him to Coach Tony Morrison, a former Canadian heavyweight champion.
Coach Tony began Lisandro’s training with strength and conditioning, progressing gradually to intense technical drills, bag work, and sparring. After just six months of training, Lisandro had his first amateur bout—a close loss. Instead of being discouraged, he went back to the gym and worked even harder.
What followed was an impressive 18-fight winning streak, a testament to his dedication and rapid development. Today, at just 15 years old, Lisandro is ranked #1 in Canada in the 52kg youth category, with multiple provincial and national titles to his name.
Known for his sharp jab, intelligent footwork, and unshakable mental toughness, Lisandro cites Floyd "Money" Mayweather as his greatest inspiration—admiring his ring IQ, defense, and charisma. “It’s not about being the bad guy,” Lisandro says, “it’s about entertaining people. That’s what boxing is—precision, movement, performance.”
Now training with a clear goal of representing Canada internationally, Lisandro brings his A-game to every match, embodying the spirit of a champion in and out of the ring.
